Malea's day...

I didn't spend much time at the hospital today.. man was that hard! I really wanted to take the time to spend with Malea but she was SO difficult today. Me being gone so much has been really hard on her. We took her to see Finley, had lunch and then went shopping. We had a party here tonight. I will post pictures on the other blog http://thepembertons4.blogspot.com/

So as far as Finley is concerned she is still doing good. She actually gained a little weight yesterday.. an ounce. :) She still isn't eating well so that is frustrating. The whole nursing/scale thing is driving me insane so I am done with the breastfeeding thing until we get home. She took 30ml at a feeding today so she is getting closer but she has to do that at all her feedings.. not just one.

I will update again tomorrow. Thanks for checking in on us :)

ok, i tried to leave a post a minute ago, but as usual i probably talked too long and it kicked me out!

Finley (along with your other kids) is so beautiful. Funny how as babies it's a big push to gain weight, and then the rest of your life you're trying NOT to!

The breastfeeding will work out if it's supposed to - I learned that lesson with Isaac but it was hard. I've heard lots of stories of babies who couldn't nurse at first for some reason and still managed to pick it up later, so take heart and try to relax for now.

Remember Clifford the Big Red Dog - Love makes little things grow! (ok, a healthy dose of God's intervention doesn't hurt either!)

Take care,
Trin

I think it's great that you still spent time with Malea for her birthday. I'm sure that meant a lot to her!

Like Trinity said, the breastfeeding thing will all work out in the end if it's supposed to be. My Sister-in-law was unable to nurse for a couple weeks with her first for whatever reason. But after time it all worked out. Hang in there and know that you and your precious family are being lifted in prayer throughout each and every day.

I'm laughing now... I think it's funny to see such a beautiful baby on your "I'm not shaving, I'm pregnant" hairy leg... tee hee. Had to get a little giggle in, especially since the greens in the pics are so close! Still praying for your family...
